International Competition PREMIO |

With the aim of giving a step forward and test the business ideas developed by the trainees at an international level hence laying the roots for the establishment of a collaborative transnational learning community PREMIO has launched an International Competition. It was a very successful initiative that allowed to increase the interaction between participants from different countries, thus enhancing the European added value of the project; to improve the quality of the business projects, focusing on areas concerning the EU; to give the participants an opportunity of discovering new cultures, while establishing new business contacts thus opening the window of globalization; to give international visibility to the business projects; to create a true sense of community between all participants.
The competition was divided in 4 categories: Environmental and social sustainability, Degree of independence of the social economic context, Innovation, Globalization. To apply for participation trainees had to submit a brief presentation explaining how their project addressed the above mentioned topics and then make a virtual 10 minutes presentation of their projects and be available to answer to questions and remarks from mentors and other trainees. These sessions took place between the 5th and 10th of November. The Prize was a 1 week stay all inclusive in any of the 4 countries participating in PREMIO and a specially conceived business programme including visits to Science and Technology Parks, Companies operating in the same or complementary areas of the winner business idea and business fairs/exhibitions. The winners were: Hélder Fernandes from ViGie Solutions (PT) and Viktor Laaurma from KVM (EE) visited Greece; Daniel Amariei from RO Arm (RO) and Vaios Bakirtzoglou from Cretan BioFuels (GR) visited Portugal.  |
